2025 SENIOR GOLF TOURNAMENT RESULTS

Sunshine, mild temperatures & good meal enjoyed by all!

On Friday, September 5th, twenty teams of golfers stepped out onto the Brantingham Golf Course in hopes of landing a golf title. The weather was ideal with sunshine and mild temperatures. By day’s end, the team titles to be had were won and everyone who participated not only enjoyed a great day of golf, but an opportunity to enjoy good company, and a good meal. Some even walked away with prizes!

The men’s A Flight competition proved exciting. Despite strong competition, the team of Kim Allen, Rex Allen, Neil Freeman, and Rich Miles were named A Flight champions with a score of 56.

In the Men’s B Flight, the team comprised of Jamie Cullinan, Jay Scanlon, John Fowler, and Cliff Keil finished with a score of 59.

In the Ladies’ A Flight, the team of Karen Stowell, Pat Houck, Amy Kolenda, and Bonnie Oaks proved victorious with a score of 67.

On behalf of Carla Hellinger, Director, the Lewis County Office for the Aging expresses a huge thank you to all the individuals that supported this year’s tournament. A thank you is also extended to Ben Bradish and the staff of Brantingham Golf Club who allow this tournament to be such a success each year. We appreciate your generosity. Thank you to all of the scorekeepers too.

We also convey special gratitude to the local businesses listed below for their door prize donations. The day would not be a success without the help of everyone involved!

The following businesses donated door prizes:
Woodgate Pines Golf Club, Lloyds of Lowville, Lowville Walmart Super Center, Matt Nimey GMC in Boonville, St. Drogo’s Coffee & Bake House/Tug Hill Artisans & Roasters, Dollar General-Croghan Branch, and Malcolm Kellogg with a refinished dining table.

Your Link to Long Term Services and Supports

The Lewis County Office for the Aging is a federally designated Area Agency on Aging (AAA). The role of AAA is to plan, coordinate, advocate and develop a comprehensive service system to meet the short and long-term needs of older adults in the County. AAAs work with Federal, State, and local officials, senior constituents, and service providers to coordinate existing services and to stimulate new ones. Each AAA prepares a multi-year Area Plan which identifies the needs of that area’s older adults and specifies which services will be provided to meet those needs.

The services provided by the Lewis County Office for the Aging are provided either directly by the County or by contractors of the County. The services are funded by Lewis County, the New York State Office for the Aging, the Federal Administration on Aging, and contributions or fees from program participants. Services can be obtained by calling 315-376-5313, coming in person to the OFA office Monday – Friday, 8:30 to 4:30 or calling to arrange a home visit.
