ATTENTION: The New York State Department of Labor is launching an upgraded unemployment insurance system that will improve customer service for individuals and businesses. The upgrade will begin on Monday, November 2nd at 5pm and is expected to take 9 to 12 days to complete. During the upgrade, all online and phone services for unemployment will be unavailable, and unemployment payments will be delayed. Claimants will still need to complete their weekly job search that is required. For assistance in job searches, you can visit our Virtual Career Center page at Lewis County NY- Virtual Career Center or you can stop into the Lewis County WorkPlace.  For more information and updates on this upgrade, please visit: https://dol.ny.gov/news/unemployment/announcement.
