Advisory Council

The Lewis County Senior Advisory Council consists of representatives from each of the 10 districts in Lewis County.  Other representatives that attend are Presidents from the local Senior Clubs & community members.  The Council meets four times a year.  At each meeting, an overview/update is presented on the Office for the Aging budget, programs, upcoming events or education opportunities and an update on what is new at the State level.  There are active Senior Clubs throughout Lewis County.  These clubs meet at various times and locations each month, generally for a meal and an informational and/or recreational event.   Some of these Senior Clubs arrange for special outings for their members.  Our office maintains a list for these Senior Club meetings (place, time, location & contact information). The Senior Clubs and Advisory Council are an important link between the Office for the Aging and the senior population throughout Lewis County
