Lewis County Board of Legislators Recommends Final Candidate for New County Manager

LOWVILLE, NY- The Lewis County Board of Legislators has concluded their recruitment to replace Ryan Piche as County Manager, who has provided notice of his resignation to accept the position of County Administrator for Jefferson County.
The Board had several qualified applicants, interviewed five great candidates, and has decided to bring forth Timothy Hunt as the final candidate for appointment consideration by the Board of Legislators at the August 6th meeting.
Mr. Hunt has served as Lewis County Highway Superintendent since 2020 and has been a valuable addition to the Lewis County organization. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from SUNY Oswego and brings knowledge from both private and public sectors in management and budget administration.
The County Manager works collaboratively with staff, department leaders, elected officials, and the Board of Legislators, to deliver key public services and form and enhance relationships with other intergovernmental partners for the benefit of the residents of Lewis County.
