If you are in need of sandbags ahead of the incoming storm on August 9, please go to the Lowville Village DPW at 7514 East State Street, Lowville

Highway Department:

• The following roads are closed until further notice: Tillman Road, Beech Hill, Wagner Road, & Lomber Road. These roads are considered long-term closures waiting evaluation. 
• Kotel Road and Steiner Road are now open.
• The Highway Department is unable to fix damage that is on private property.

Damage Assessment Tool:

• If you experienced damage to your home or business as a result of the storms Wednesday, we are asking you to fill out this online survey and report it. This will help the State and County to collect damages and potentially request federal assistance programs. This is not an application for assistance.

Insurance Questions:

• The NYS Office of Emergency Management has provided the Department of Financial Services hotline that will be available daily from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM to answer any questions about insurance needs in our community. Please call 1-800-339-1759 with your questions.
