The Board of Elections is charged with responsibility of overseeing that all election related activities are executed in accordance with the New York State Election Law as interpreted by the Lewis County Commissioners of Elections and the New York State Board of Elections.

Early Voting

Voters can vote in-person before Election Day. Voters registered in Lewis County will be able to vote at our office at 7513 East State Street, Lowville, New York 13367. If you vote during the early voting period, you are not eligible to vote on Election Day.

Change of Party Enrollment

The voter registration form can be used to change your party enrollment from one party to another or to enroll for the first time in a party. An application to change one’s party enrollment for the primary election in any year must me received by the board of elections no later than February 14th of that year.

Primary Election

Only registered party members or voters affiliated with a party are allowed to vote. You must be registered in the party that is having the Primary.
