Lewis County Youth Bureau Announces 2026 County Funds Distribution

LOWVILLE, NY- The Lewis County Youth Bureau is pleased to announce the allocation of $15,000.00 in County funds to support positive development programs and activities throughout Lewis County in 2026. The board reviewed a strong pool of applications representing a wide variety of programs and geographic areas, demonstrating the commitment of local organizations to supporting young people and their families.

These funds reinforce the Youth Bureau’s mission to promote meaningful opportunities for youth, enhance community engagement, and strengthen supportive services across the county. The Bureau aims to keep the community informed about how funds are distributed and the positive impact these programs have on Lewis County youth.

2026 Funding Allocations: Total County Funds: $15,000

Encompass Recreation — $2,500 — Exceptional Bowling Program
NCPPC — $4,000 — Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library
Girls Softball League — $580 — Free Wednesday Night Softball Games
Copenhagen Central School District — $1,500 — Student Opportunity & Enrichment Funds
South Lewis Central School District — $2,250 — Social Emotional Kids Kamp
Lyons Falls Library — $400 — Adirondack Raptor Program
Harrisville Free Library — $700 — Summer Reading Program
Bridges Out of Poverty — $2,490 — Teen “R Rules” Workshop
Lowville Free Library — $580 — Outdoor Activities Equipment
