Join us for a practical and informative session on Financial Oversight for Nonprofits, designed for board members, treasurers, and nonprofit leaders who want to strengthen their organization’s financial management skills. This session has been put together in partnership with the Northern New York Community Foundation and the Tug Hill Commission.

Led by Bowers CPAs & Advisors, this session will cover key financial topics including:

  • Reviewing and understanding financial statements

  • Creating and managing budgets

  • Treasurer responsibilities

  • Internal controls and financial policies

  • The importance of audits and annual reports

We’ll also hear from Lindsay Baldwin, CFO of the Fort Drum Regional Health Planning Organization, who will share a local, “boots on the ground” perspective to help nonprofits apply these practices in real-world settings.
